Cola-Cola – What’s Old is New Again
Even though summer is making its exit here in New England and we’ll soon be back praying that the red line that we’re on doesn’t break down, we know that what goes around comes around.
From its first, thought out design in 1887 to its reacent update, it looks like Coca-Cola takes the same view. While the Coca-Cola logo hasn’t been changed dramatically (aside from New Coke, and we know how that worked out), periodic updates have improved on the original. The same flowing script brings you back to the days when the beverage was a drugstore staple.
The fact the generation after generation can look at a can of Coca-Cola and be transported back to their childhood, whether it be 1940 or 1990, is an immensely powerful position for any brand to be in.
So pull on your parkas and raise a glass because we’ll be back in the sun before we know it.
