American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society needed a concept for an event honoring Carolyn Rafaelian, CEO and founder of ALEX AND ANI, for all she has done to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. As the event was being held a Carolyn’s Sakonnet Winery in Little Compton, Rhode Island, their three theme suggestions came down to a charming coastal winery, and old-fashioned New England clambake, and a seaside garden party. In the end, the client chose the “American Cancer Society’s Old-Fashioned New England Clambake and Birthday Celebration.”
Action for Boston Community Development, Inc., a nationally-recognized nonprofit anti-poverty agency, commissioned CDG to design and produce their annual report and companion website. The theme this year centers on how ABCD gives their clients a real chance to disrupt the negative pathways and outcomes resulting from poverty by succeeding both personally and in a community building way. The design is meant to evoke such words as “uplifting,” “hope” and “future-oriented,” and puts special emphasis on the great positive good ABCD’s programs have produced.
